The ICP 2026 Week
Pre-Conference Activities and Welcome Reception – Monday, June 22
There will be three pre-conference meetings / workshops hosted by the SPAAM, HAAM and AaRC communities on Monday, June 22. These will be held at the Frescati campus of Stockholm University (details made available to registrants).SPAAM (metagenomics): ~09.00-17.30 (exact times tbc). Also held online. Check-in will be open at the venue already from 12:00 on Monday (closes at 18:00).
On Monday evening at 18:00, we invite all conference attendees to a Welcome Reception at the Swedish Museum of Natural History (entrance hall and courtyard), located next door to the university. Enjoy a unique opportunity to connect with fellow attendees in an inspiring setting surrounded by the walls of this 110-year old museum.
Conference Opening – Tuesday, June 23
The main conference program begins on Tuesday, June 23 in Aula Magna, Stockholm University’s flagship auditorium and one of Sweden’s most prominent lecture halls. Each day will begin with a common address from one of our distinguished plenary speakers. The morning sessions will be held in the left part of the auditorium and the program starts at 09:00, so make sure to be there on time.
Over the course of the four-day event, the program will feature both oral and poster presentations spanning a wide range of topics. Attendees will be able to choose from multiple sessions, including themes such as Archaeogenomics, Wildlife Palaeogenomics and computational methods. The sessions will begin with a lecture from an invited Keynote Speaker, each a leading expert in the field. Afternoon sessions will be held in parallel in the left and right part of the auditorium respectively.
Poster sessions
Two poster sessions will be held; the first on Tuesday June 23 and the second on Wednesday June 24. They will commence just after the afternoon sessions at 18:00.
Conference Dinner – Thursday, June 25
On the evening of Thursday, June 25, we invite you to the Conference Dinner at Stockholm City Hall, the historic venue of the Nobel Prize banquet. Join us for an unforgettable evening of fine dining, networking, and celebration in one of Stockholm’s most historic and beautiful venues. The dinner is hosted and sponsored by the City of Stockholm and for those registered, an entrance ticket will be attained at check-in. Please observe that bags larger than 21×30 cm (A4 size) are not allowed into the premises. There is a wardrobe available, but to avoid massive queues, please do not bring larger bags.
