Payment information
Information for participants in Sweden
Participants based in Sweden may choose to pay by credit card or invoice. Invoices are issued as electronic invoices (e-faktura) when possible, or otherwise as PDF attachments via email.
Information for participants outside Sweden
All payments are processed in SEK (Swedish Krona). Participants joining from abroad are welcome to pay by credit card or by bank transfer (invoice). Bank transfer is available until 12 May 2026.
Invoice for bank transfer
Upon selecting this payment method, an invoice with bank transfer details (such as bank account number, IBAN, etc.) will be sent. The invoice is generated manually and is typically sent within a few days of registration.
The participant/payee is responsible for any bank charges or fees related to the payment.
Credit card payment
Card payments are processed via Nets, which supports payments with Visa and Mastercard.
For your security, our payment system is integrated with 3D Secure to protect online transactions. Your card must be enrolled in Verified by Visa or Mastercard SecureCode. If you’re unsure whether your card is connected, please contact your bank for confirmation and guidance on how to enroll.
Taxes – 25% VAT
According to Swedish and EU legislation, 25% Swedish VAT will be added to all registration fees. This according to EU legislation and regulation for conferences and events (C-647/17, EU:C:2019:195, of 13 March 2019 and Article 53 of Council Directive 2006/112/EC of 28 November 2016) VAT is paid in the country where services are rendered, e.g. the country in which the conference takes place.
Exception: Swedish participants from governmental public sector organizations “statliga myndigheter” (e.g., universities, governmental agencies): No VAT will be added. In this case, you must choose Invoice (Swedish billing address only) as the payment mode and provide the VAT number of your employer.
For payment by credit card, VAT will always be charged, also for participants from “statliga myndigheter”.
Cancellation and refund policy
Cancellations should be made in writing to the conference secretariat. A cancellation fee of SEK 750 will be charged for all cancellations.
- For cancellations received no later than 23 May 2026, the full registration fee will be refunded (or waived) minus the cancellation fee.
- For cancellations made from 24 May 2026 onwards, no refund (or waiver) of the registration fee will be granted, and the full fee must be paid.
Substitution of Participant
If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your registration to a colleague or substitute participant. Please contact the conference secretariat as soon as possible to arrange the change.
